So based on what has been happening in the last and final season of The Vampire Diaries, I have been speculating whether Elena will even end up with Damon. Even though a lot of us have shipped Delena and some of us still have hope for Stelena, I have always thought that in the end the Salvatore Brothers would get killed off. I know, it would be horrible and I would most likely end up crying, but I feel like it is inevitable. Based on the way things are going this season, I definitely think that it is a strong possibility that they will both die, but before their deaths they will some how find peace within each other. With that being said this makes me feel like the lost of these two characters would result in Elena having a lot of heartbreak, but also the potential revival of a relationship with her first love Matt.

I have been waiting for the new season of The Vampire Diaries Season 8 to start ever since we saw Damon hear Elena's voice as he rushed into the tomb and Enzo went following behind him. The season 8 premiere definitely opened a new level of destruction considering I never thought they'd be able to come up with a villain that isn't some form of vampire, werewolf, witch, or traveler.

The last season of The Vampire Diaries is closing in on us which is bittersweet. I am excited to see what happens within the series considering we have been waiting about 4 months for new episodes, but I am also sad because this will be the last season of the series. There are a few things that I am still hoping that will happen considering the end of the series will most likely show us where all of the characters end up in life.
