So based on what has been happening in the last and final season of The Vampire Diaries, I have been speculating whether Elena will even end up with Damon. Even though a lot of us have shipped Delena and some of us still have hope for Stelena, I have always thought that in the end the Salvatore Brothers would get killed off. I know, it would be horrible and I would most likely end up crying, but I feel like it is inevitable. Based on the way things are going this season, I definitely think that it is a strong possibility that they will both die, but before their deaths they will some how find peace within each other. With that being said this makes me feel like the lost of these two characters would result in Elena having a lot of heartbreak, but also the potential revival of a relationship with her first love Matt.

I know what you guys are thinking, "Ewwwwww.." Even though I hate to say it, I wouldn't be surprised if Matt was end game. Throughout every season of The Vampire Diaries, Matt has always been an amazing person and very supportive of Elena within reason. He was always there for her when she needed him like when she was transitioning into a vampire or whenever she needed to talk about relationship issues. In the end though, I would not be that shocked if the writers let the series end with Matt and Elena having children. Matt would be in law enforcement and Elena could continue becoming a doctor. I mean, you have to admit that the cover ups for "animal attacks" would be easier to get away with.

I used to be a Stelena shipper, but now I kind of want her to be with Damon.... Then again I kind of don't because to some degree I liked the bad version of Damon who had legitimate motives for being bad. Instead of the Damon that would act out when he didn't get his way. I guess we'll see what happens in the end.
I know a lot of you guys have hope for Delena or Stelena, so how would you feel if Melena (Matt + Elena) was end game?
