This show just keeps getting better and better. Once Upon A Time's episode 3 of Season 5 hit us with two big surprises which left me wanting to know more about the quest of Camelot and the need for a new hero to rise. If you haven't seen the episode, I suggest you check it out on ABC's website before reading my thoughts on the episode and the possibilities on what's to come.
***SPOILER ALERT***
Let's jump into what happened on Once Upon A Time Season 5 Episode 3 "Siege Perilous."
King Arthur doesn't care if he sacrifices people...and he's the bad guy.
We saw how Sir Lancelot returned from the dead disclosing that Arthur wasn't what he seemed. We also saw the way he let one of his men die for his country to steal magical items. We can only imagine what King Arthur is up to, but it does make you wonder if he is all about the power or if he is really making people sacrifice for his country...
How does Merlin fit into all of this?
There must have been some sort of dire reason as to why Merlin converted himself into an oak tree or put himself in the tree..... What will King Arthur do to Merlin? Kill him or want him to do something unimaginable.
Rumplestilskin is becoming good?
I saw this coming and the irony is real. I knew that he was going to become the hero to some degree, but I think in turn he is going to be the one who saves Emma. I do not see Emma being the dark one for a long period of time, but Rumple.... definitely see him becoming dark again. However, will Rumple return to being a coward? The only reason why he stopped being one was when he came into power as being the dark one and let it consume him. I'd like to see how this affects his relationship with Belle as well. Maybe they will finally get their happily ever after after all.
The Wicked Witch of the West Stays Getting the Short End of the Stick.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel bad for Zelena? All she wants to do is remove herself from anyone that can hurt her or doesn't care about her and now Regina wants to take her baby away from her. I get that she's a bad guy, but at the same time I feel bad that she suffers considering she has been competing with Regina for so long.
On Emma
Jennifer Morrison's portrayal of the Dark One just seems creepy and creepier. It's like she's Emma, but she's the "I could easily kill you with no thought" in a nonchalant Emma kind of way. The way she speaks slowly and the way her eyes perceive a lack of care. It's just weird. Her little rendezvous with Captain Hook was interesting though. I was not expecting it and Captain Hook seems to be very adamant about not being with her as of right now. To be honest, I think that if Emma is ever to be separated from the Dark One that at that point of time, it is a possibility that Hook most likely won't want to be with her anymore.
