August Goals | Blogging, Social Media Marketing, & Online Work
August Goals | Blogging, Social Media Marketing, & Online Work

So here are my goals for this month.

100+ Most Popular Fashion Hashtags to Use on Instagram

100+ of the Most Popular Tags for Likes Fashion Blogger Hashtags to Use on Instagram likes views Traffic Follows Followers

I know it can be hard as a fashion blogger to obtain followers, views, and likes on Instagram which is why the use of hashtags or "tags for likes" comes in pretty handy. Hashtags are used as a way to tag a picture and to drive people to see this picture through the use of a search. For example if someone tags their picture with the hashtag "outfit" ( #outfit ), then their picture with the hashtag will be seen in the search when someone looks for "outfit" on Instagram. Here is an example.

There are tons of hashtags that you can use, but if you are a fashion blogger you should have specific fashion related hashtags that can help you be seen.

Instagram allows the use of 30 hashtags. So there is a limit of how many hashtags that can be used, but you can always post tags in the comments if you would like to use more hashtags than what is allowed within the post.

Now it's time for you guys to check out these fashion hashtags that can be used to help drive likes, follows, and views to your stylish Instagram pages.

Make Money Blogging - How 4 Bloggers Made Money in September 2016 [ Income Report ]

I am really big on income reports and seeing what other bloggers are making, in addition to how they make money through blogging. I would love to reach a point where I am successfully making a generous amount of money to sustain the cost of living. I decided to share with you guys my thoughts about a few bloggers who took the time to share their income and to just inform any of you who are looking for ways to make money from your blog that you have not considered.

Hope it helps!

Tara Tierney - $5,402.29

This blogger made her money through Uber, Uber referrals, and Herbalife. I know of a few people that make quite a bit as Uber drivers for just a few hours a day. As far as Herbalife, it says on Google that this company focuses on selling supplements, weight management, sports nutrition (energy bars, protein drinks, etc.), and personal care products. I doubt I'd be that great at making sales, but if you're a health blogger this would most likely be ideal for you.

October 2016 Goals: Blog, Social Media, and Life Goals

October 2016 Goals: Blog, Social Media, and Life Goals

So I am a bit late within posting my goals, but better late than never. I did accomplish a few things, but not everything that I wanted to do. I think I may have to be more realistic about the certain goals that I set for myself, especially considering I'm back in school for the first time since my surgery and everything. So I'm excited about that and I'm about to focus on goals that I can actually accomplish this month.

Last Months Blog Goals

Post at least 3x a week. --> I blogged 10x last month.
I did share my posts on all social media.
I unfortunately probably commented on one blogger's website.
I did not invest in an email subscription package yet.

I hope this helps all of you who are looking to make money online with your blogs, in addition to those of you who are simply interested in learning about the process itself.

How running a giveaway increased my traffic and followers to my blog

How running a giveaway increased my traffic and followers to my blog

In August I decided on running a giveaway to see just how much I could increase my traffic, following, and interaction. In my giveaway I disclosed that the winner has the option of receiving a $25 Amazon gift card or $25 in the form of Paypal money. The giveaway started on August 8, 2016 and ended on August 30, 2016. So it lasted 22 days. I saw a decent spike in traffic, followers, and interaction.

First I'll discuss my traffic before hand.

7 Things I Learned in 2015 After a Year of Blogging

7 Things I Learned in 2015 After a Year of Blogging

It's been 13 months since I first started this website Researching the Internet!!! It doesn't even seem like it's been that long since I've created this website, but it's been an interesting experience. A lot of people have been asking me about blogging and what I've learned so far. So I decided to create a mini post about some of the things I learned within the time of starting this website.

7 Things I Learned in 2015 After a Year of Blogging

1. Write about topics you are actually passionate about.

I have noticed that the topics I write about that I am in love with are usually the topics that gain a lot of traffic, are liked, and are shared. I believe that people can tell when you aren't really into something. With that being said, write about things that you are into.

2. Facebook Groups can send you tons of traffic.

I discovered a ton of Facebook groups involved with my topics about 3 months ago and they have sent me some pretty decent traffic as well. I would recommend typing in topics relatable to your website in the Facebook search engine and seeing what groups come up and then joining them.

(Leave a comment down below if you'd like for me to write a post about what Facebook groups I share my posts to..)

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

This year went by incredibly fast. My second month of blogging came and gone within the blink of an eye. I am super excited about my progression. I ended up connecting with a lot of people and exchanging a decent amount of different ideas. I learned a lot last month and I wanted to share with you guys what I learned my second month of blogging on Researching the Internet.

Firstly, let me share with you my stats for this month.

second month of blogging

As you can see, I reached my goal!! I had over 1000 views, which I am extremely happy about. I didn't do too much promoting, but I know this number could have been bigger if I had actually tried to network more.

Now onto what I learned in December...

A Year of Receiving Free Products from Influenster + Reasons Why You Should Join

Influenster

If you haven't heard of Influenster it is a network of people on a website that review and discuss different products. Influenster is mainly known for sending free items to their network of people to try out, review, and share over your social networks. I've been a member of Influenster for over a year and I have gotten an assortment of free stuff. I've gotten free beauty products, food, and even household items. Influenster also gives occasional clothing or gift cards away for completing specific campaigns/tasks, but first let me tell you the process of joining Influenster and how to get free products.

Influenster

You can join Influenster by creating an account on their website. After you confirm your account, you must type in your information and connect all of your social network accounts.  When I say social networks... I mean Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr, Vine, Youtube, etc... Facebook is definitely one of the first social networks you should confirm. You can also connect your blog to your account. When you connect your networks with Influenster you will receive a score that impacts how qualified you are to be apart of certain programs for receiving the free products. Once you connect, you can sign up for different badges. Within the Lifestyle section, I am signed up for 3 different badges (Collegiate [because I'm in college], Better World [which focuses on giving, volunteering, and donating], and the Wellness badge [which focuses on health]). Within the Expert's badge section, I have 8 badges (Tastebud [all food], Beauty Queen [beauty related], Fashionista [clothing related], Sweet Tooth [candy, cakes, cookies, etc. related], Eco [environment friendly related], Decorator [design], Pop Culture [entertainment], and Techie [technology]). Within all of these badges you can write reviews and answer questions to boost your score. I have noticed that when I am active in these badges, I am more likely to receive a survey in the future to receive free products.

6 Reasons Why Attending Twitter Parties Can Help You Connect, Gain Traffic, and Get You Hired

A Twitter Party is an event where Tweeters come together and discuss a certain topic. It happens at a specific time and it consists of connecting with other Tweeters using a hashtag. They can last anywhere from 30 minutes to about 2 hours. I originally started attending these parties because the companies who were hosting them offered prizes to win. A lot of people do not know that different companies actually have Twitter parties monthly and they giveaway some of their own products, in addition to gift cards.

I started attending these Twitter parties about a year ago, but it was never in relation to my websites. I didn't realize until recently how much of an advantage going to a Twitter party can be for my blog.

Here are 6 reasons why attending Twitter parties can help your website.

December 2014 Goals : Blogging and my Personal Life

Last month I had a few goals in mind for this blog, but nothing set in writing as to what I really wanted to get done. This month, I have a decent amount of goals that I hope to accomplish with both this blog and my personal life.

Blogging Related Goals for December

- Reach 1000 views this month.

I had 465 views last month and I would like to increase that number.

- Post at least 20x this month.

I only created 13 posts last month, so I just needed to post 7 extra ones. I think it's a reasonable amount.

- Create Pinterest page.

I am hoping that Pinterest will bring in a good amount of traffic once I create my page.

- Aim to post 50 website/blog comments a week.

I read at least 40 different blog posts daily, but I rarely ever comment on them. I read that blog commenting can promote a decent amount of traffic and it can create a connection with the website owner, in addition to the other readers. So this is definitely something that I need to focus on.

- Add  RSS feed (email subscription) to my website.

I never did this with my other blogs, but I know that I need to.

- Focus on Twitter targeting, 50 tweets a week.

- Write at least 2 college related topics, 4 TVD posts, 2 SEO, and 2 recipe posts.

I want to have a few subjects that remain constant on the website monthly.

- Begin my first case study.

I am obsessed with case studies and they are definitely going to be a big part of my website.

- Post at least 4 videos on Youtube.

I need to work on being more confident and comfortable in front of the camera. The amount of videos I create will probably grow as time goes on.

Other Goals for December

13 Things I Learned My First Month of Blogging on Researching the Internet...

First Month of Blogging

I've actually been blogging for about 2 years, but I officially decided that I was actually going to focus on it more because I enjoy it. The main reason I started this blog was because I felt like I didn't really have anyone to talk to about the different things that I wanted to discuss. I started thinking that maybe there are other people interested in the things that I like or have certain concerns about things I've been concerned about. So I figured that a blog would be the best method of sharing my thoughts and ideas about things I love, in addition to the things I've experienced.
