I just found out that either Netflix or the ABC network has a She-Hulk series in the works which I am extremely excited about. She-Hulk is based on Jennifer Walters who received a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner (The Hulk) which in result gave her powers. However even though she was a mutant, she was also a lawyer. There has been a rumor going around that it will be a woman of color who will portray this Marvel Heroine. The rumor most likely isn't true, but I wanted to consider the options I'd like anyway.
Here are my top picks for who I think would be ideal for portraying She-Hulk.
Gina Torres
Torres has been in a few action packed television series like Cleopatra 2525, Alias (great series to watch on Netflix), Angel, Firefly, and The Shield. Given all of the projects she's been in, I could definitely see her portraying Jennifer Walters.
Natashia Williams
Williams acted in a few action packed and science fiction shows like She Spies and in the scene above she plays Lucy in "The Vampire Diaries" series. I haven't seen her acting in anything recently, but she would be another ideal pick.
Logan Browning
I do not believe I have seen Browning in any action packed features, but if Netflix was going for a younger version of She-Hulk... It'd be the way to go.
Bianca Lawson
Honestly Bianca is at the top of my list for playing She-Hulk. She's played a vampire slayer (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), witch (The Vampire Diaries), tough girl from the streets (Save the Last Dance), and other characters throughout her acting career.
Serena Williams
She has the ideal body build for She-Hulk, but the question is... "Can she act?"
Paula Patton
I've seen a few people on the web consider Patton as being She-Hulk. She has been in movies like Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol and she portrayed Garona Halforcen in the recent Warcraft movie.
Overall, I think that Netflix will go with choosing an unknown actress which I personally wouldn't mind. I like when they give new actresses and actors a chance, especially if they are a better fit than some of the other well-known names.
