I just recently started listening to The Weeknd and he is absolutely amazing. If you dig R&B, check this guy out!! The song "Can't Feel My Face" definitely gives off some Michael Jackson vibes and in the video you can see that MJ was the inspiration for this song.
The music video is FIRREE!! No seriously, it is legit fire.
I won't ramble on too much, but I am going to do a quick interpretation of what I think the video is about. From my perspective, the video is about him slowly rising to the top in his musical career. At first a lot of people weren't digging his sound as much, but eventually people started really recognizing him (the beginning of his flame) and realizing that he sounded amazing He is completely on fire now with all of the attention he's been getting. His music is everywhere and a lot of people have came around to digging his music. For example, people like me hopped on the bandwagon. Yes, I will not even lie and say I have been a fan since day 1 because I didn't really hear anything from The Weeknd until about 3 weeks ago.
However, I do think that he was showing that people acted like they didn't like his music at first, but as soon as it became popular..
It became hot because everyone else liked it, but I will say that his sound speaks for itself.
