If you have read my post on the Season 6 finale of The Vampire Diaries, you know that I was pretty disappointed with the finale. I was expecting an epic battle between Bonnie and Kai, but I did not get that. I suppose I expected Bonnie to be all powerful like Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I also started to wonder if Bonnie has even taken the time to read any of her magic textbooks since she's been back. So within this I have thought of a few different storylines for Bonnie.
Bad Witch
I was so hoping that when Bonnie returned from the prison world that she would have went kind of Bad witch on everyone, but that did not happen.
Reuniting Beremy
I believe the actor who plays Jeremy has other projects he is focusing on, but I was hoping that the powerful Bennet witch, Bonnie and the last hunter, Jeremy would become the power couple. The possibility of them having a focus on their adventure of being vampire slayer and peace keeping witch would have been awesome.
Reuniting what's left of the Bennett Family
The only people left that we know about within Bonnie's family is her vampire mother and her distant cousin, Lucy, who helped Katherine in Season 1. Seeing her make connections with those family members she knows nothing about would also be an interesting plot line as well.
The leader of the Gemini Coven
To be honest, I thought that Bonnie would have defeated Kai and some how rose to becoming the leader of the Gemini Coven some how. I think that that would have been intriguing to witness and that would have been a game changer for her to be a leader of her own coven. It would have been nice to see her in charge.
Thoughts on Season 7 Situations with Bonnie
I'm going to assume that the Heretics main obstacle will be Bonnie Bennett, but I am hoping that some other witches will be brought into the mix because if Bonnie was able to be so easily slammed into a wall to the point of death like in the Season 6 finale without even making an attempt to truly slay the evil in the world or defend herself.... She won't survive against the Heretics.
Bonnie could possibly have to protect Elena's body from being harmed because of the cure running through Elena's veins... However, I doubt the writers will make this a factor.
Of course, if they could just bring Beremy back..... I'd be extremely happy.
